I have a custom board built around the STM32G031 and I want a clean, production-ready firmware project created in C with STM32CubeIDE. Your first task is to bring the microcontroller to life: set up the system clock, configure the required GPIO pins, verify the build, and program the device.

Here is the scope I need covered:

• Create a CubeIDE project that targets STM32G031, using either HAL or direct LL drivers where it makes sense.
• Configure clock tree (HSE, HSI or internal PLL as required) so the MCU runs at the specified operating frequency.
• Initialise all GPIOs I mark on the schematic; direction, speed and pull settings must match the hardware design.
• Build, generate the .hex/.bin files and flash them onto the board through ST-Link over SWD.
• Document the pin map, clock settings and any HAL/LL abstractions you use so I can extend the project later.

I will share the schematic, pin list and any timing constraints once we start. I have the hardware on my bench in Bangalore; if you’re local, you can drop in for hands-on flashing and validation, otherwise we can screen-share while I run the ST-Link.

Deliverables:

1. Complete STM32CubeIDE project folder with source, linker script and .ioc file.
2. Compiled binaries (.elf, .hex, .bin).
3. One-page setup guide that shows how to rebuild and flash the code.

The job is considered done when the MCU boots, all configured pins toggle exactly as specified, and I can rebuild the firmware from scratch using only your guide.
