I’m adding secure, network-based remote control to a board that runs on an STM32F767ZIT6. What I need is a clean, well-documented SNMPv3 agent integrated into my existing firmware so that authorised administrators can toggle outputs, change settings and read status information from any standard NMS.
The MCU is already running Ethernet with lwIP; feel free to suggest another lightweight stack if it simplifies SNMPv3, but the end result must fit comfortably in flash and RAM and coexist with my current peripherals (UART, SPI, a handful of GPIO lines). Authentication, encryption and user management must follow the SNMPv3 spec, not a downgraded v1/v2c workaround.
Deliverables
• STM32CubeIDE (or Keil / IAR if you strongly prefer) project containing the full SNMPv3 implementation, ready to compile for the F767.
• Custom MIB file defining the writable and read-only OIDs we agree on.
• Short test application or script (Net-SNMP, Python, etc.) that demonstrates SET and GET operations with authentication and privacy enabled.
• Step-by-step notes on how to port the stack to a fresh CubeMX project, plus any licensing details.
Acceptance criteria
1. Agent responds to authenticated SNMPv3 GET/SET from a standard manager on the local network.
2. Invalid credentials are rejected and logged over UART.
3. Flash/RAM growth stays within 15 % of current usage.
4. Code passes a static MISRA check with no critical issues.
If you have previous STM32 SNMPv3 work, please mention it so I can move quickly—this piece unlocks the rest of the product schedule.
