Later, we will need an economical steel-framed sheet-metal warehouse with a sawtooth roof to be built for maximum and even daylight distribution. It will be 120 meters long, 40 meters wide, and 9 meters tall. It will have indoor roof-supporting pillars arranged on a 3 x 4-meter grid, and 30 roof teeth spaced 4 meters apart. Please see my rough 3D image.
I need a structural engineer to create a 3D mock-up and drawings that are detailed enough to hand over to fabricators for a rough cost estimate. However, I do not know what level of detail they need to quote the frame fabrication for us, so please advise me.
The tooth windows will be made from 2,400 tempered glass panels, each measuring H2000 x W1000 x T5 mm. The roof must be designed so that the windows can be easily cleaned from both the inside and outside, perhaps with narrow internal walkways. I am open to suggestions.
We are on a very low budget because we are a startup and need to show warehouse quotations to our potential investors. Perhaps this can be completed in multiple stages, with more detailed engineering added later. Please advise me.
Later, you may also be able to support us with adding external offices and other service areas, but right now, I am most concerned about the building cost of the roof. The build do not need to be air tight but fairly rain proofed. Its location will be in the town of Nam Can, south of Ca mau, Vietnam.
Please let me know how many hours/cost that needs to be spent for each step.
