I want a straightforward tool that lets my staff generate professional-looking product labels for our Steel Products line. Each label has to display our company logo prominently and leave room for key product specifications such as grade, size, and any other details we decide to input.
The workflow I picture is simple: type or paste the specs, drop in—or auto-load—the logo, and hit “print” or “export to PDF.” A clean, fixed-size template is fine as long as the fields stay aligned and everything prints crisply on standard adhesive stock.
I’m open to a lightweight desktop utility, a small web app, or a plugin-style solution—whichever you feel is quickest and most reliable. As long as the finished tool is easy for non-technical staff to use and can be updated later if spec fields change, it meets my needs.
Deliverables:
• Working label-generation tool with template(s) ready to use
• Source files so we can adjust colors, fonts, and sizing later
• Brief instructions or screen recording that walks my team through installation and use
We will provide a template.
I want to be able to open MS Word or Excel, populate a few cells with the date, batch #, product type, select how many labels we want, hit create/generate, and it makes a PDF or a Word document with two labels per A4 page. Each label is to be A5 in size.
