Project Brief -Packaging Artwork Recreation (Print-Ready)
Overview
We are a premium D2C food brand launching a range of packaged snack products. We have AI-generated concept designs for our product packaging that need to be professionally recreated by a graphic designer into clean, print-ready artwork files.
Scope of Work
Recreate provided AI-generated packaging concepts as vector-based, print-ready designs
Ensure clean typography, consistent alignment, and accurate reproduction of brand colors and layout
Adapt designs across 20 designs total -19 individual SKUs across three product categories, plus 1 outer box design (packaging formats will be shared -primarily stand-up pouches, jar labels, and one carton/outer box)
Effectively this breaks down into 4 master designs (one per product category, plus the outer box) -all remaining SKUs within each category are variations of their respective master design (flavor/variant name, color accent, imagery swap, etc.), not entirely new layouts
Apply designs to correct packaging dielines/templates (die-line files will be provided by us or by our packaging vendor)
Ensure all mandatory regulatory/label elements (to be provided separately) are correctly placed and legible
Deliver final files ready to hand off directly to our printing vendor
Deliverables
Final artwork files in AI or EPS (vector, editable layers)
Print-ready PDF (CMYK, with bleed and crop marks) for each SKU
High-resolution PNG/JPEG previews of each design for internal review
Source files organized and clearly labeled by SKU
Technical Requirements
Color mode: CMYK (we will confirm exact brand color codes/Pantone references)
Resolution: 300 DPI minimum for any raster elements
Bleed & safe margins: As per standard packaging print specifications (we will share exact dieline specs per format)
Software: Adobe Illustrator (preferred) or CorelDRAW -final files must be editable, not flattened
Fonts: All fonts converted to outlines/curves in final print files, with a separate font list provided
What We Will Provide
AI-generated reference designs for each SKU (visual direction, layout, and content reference)
Product images to be used on packaging (photography/renders will be supplied by us)
Brand color codes and font files
Dieline templates per packaging format (pouch/jar/box)
Mandatory label content and regulatory text to be placed on each SKU
One round of consolidated feedback per design batch
Ideal Candidate
Experience with FMCG/food packaging design specifically (not just general graphic design)
Comfortable working from AI-generated reference art and translating it into clean, production-ready files
Strong understanding of print production requirements (dielines, bleed, CMYK conversion, pre-press basics)
Available for iterative rounds of revision within a defined turnaround time
Timeline & Process
We will share designs in batches (by SKU/category) rather than all at once
Expect 2–3 rounds of revision per batch before final sign-off
Final files must be print-ready and go directly to our packaging vendor -no further design work expected after handoff
