Standalone Equipment Control & Monitoring App

I need a Windows desktop application that will both control and monitor a piece of standalone equipment in real time. The software’s core purpose is to give operators a single interface where they can send commands to the machine, track status values, and log performance data for later review.

Key requirements
• Full control & monitoring: every function now handled from the physical panel must be replicated in the UI, while live telemetry (temperatures, voltages, counters, fault codes, etc.) streams back to the screen.
• Windows-native build: a smooth installer, no external runtimes beyond the usual .NET / C++ and CSharp redistributables, and compatibility from Windows 10 onward.
• Solid hardware communication layer: whether the machine exposes Serial, USB, Ethernet, or another protocol, the code should auto-detect the port, maintain a reliable connection, and recover gracefully after interruptions.
• Data logging: store readings locally in a lightweight database (SQLite or similar) and export to CSV.
• Source code & documentation: clear comments, a short README for build steps, and a user guide for operators.

Acceptance criteria
1. All commands execute correctly and the machine responds within the expected latency.
2. UI refreshes telemetry at the configured interval without freezing or lag.
3. Connection can drop and recover without crashing or data loss.
4. Logs show accurate time-stamped values that match the equipment’s built-in display.
