Staff Appointment Scheduler System

I need a straightforward, browser-based scheduling system that my team can log into each day to handle all client appointments. The core workflow is simple: staff must be able to create a new booking, edit its details, or cancel it entirely from a clean daily calendar view.
To prevent double-booking, the system has to display each colleague’s real-time availability before a slot is confirmed. Once an appointment is saved, an automatic reminder—email or SMS, whichever is easier to hook up—should go out to the customer.
Because the day-view calendar is the primary interface, navigation needs to be lightning-fast: think click-to-add, drag-to-reschedule, and hover for quick details. A responsive layout is preferred so the same screen works on a tablet at the front desk or a laptop in the back office. If you normally integrate Google Calendar, Outlook, or similar APIs to pull availability, feel free to propose that; the goal is accuracy and zero clashes.
Deliverable
• A deploy-ready web app (source code, database schema, and brief setup notes) that lets staff:
– Create, edit, and cancel appointments
– See team availability in real time and block conflicts
– Send automated reminders after booking
• Daily calendar view as the default dashboard, optimised for quick changes
• Basic admin credentials so I can add or disable staff accounts on my end
Please include a short outline of the tech stack you’d use and any third-party services (SMS gateway, email API, etc.) you recommend. I’m ready to start as soon as we agree on the approach and timeline.
