I have a fully functional, custom-built ecommerce site powered by Laravel and a handful of bespoke PHP packages. Traffic and order volume are climbing, but the codebase hasn’t kept pace. I’m now looking for a senior developer who can dive straight into the repository, understand the existing architecture, and help me push the platform to the next level in both stability and features.
The immediate focus is on cleaning up legacy controllers, tightening security around the checkout flow, and improving overall performance so pages remain snappy under load. Alongside that refactor, I want to introduce a more flexible product variant system, add Stripe in addition to our current payment provider, and give my support team a lightweight dashboard for manual order adjustments and inventory tweaks.
Here’s what I need delivered:
• Codebase audit with a written summary of critical issues and quick wins
• Refactored checkout and payment integration using Laravel 9 best practices, including Stripe support
• Modular product-variant logic that plugs into the existing admin UI
• Slim inventory management panel with basic stock alerts
• Performance optimisations (query tuning, caching, queue configuration) that bring TTFB under 200 ms on key pages
• Deployment to staging and production with zero downtime, plus concise documentation of every change
A private GitHub repository, Forge / Envoyer access, and staging credentials are ready to go. I communicate on Slack, track tasks in Trello, and expect daily Git commits so we can review progress together. If you have deep Laravel expertise, enjoy untangling legacy PHP, and care about clean, maintainable code, I’d like to get started right away.
