YouTube Gaming Video Research & Content Logging. We are undertaking research to support development of a new YouTube gaming channel and want to better understand the types of gameplay sequences that make for interesting video content. For this initial task, we are focused on Squad and are looking for someone comfortable reviewing gaming content on YouTube, identifying interesting sequences, and accurately logging what happens.

This is primarily a video research and content-analysis task. You do not need to create or edit videos.

We are particularly interested in gameplay where players make interesting choices rather than simply recording kills or action. Examples include players or teams changing their approach after encountering opposition, taking unusual or indirect routes, using terrain or buildings effectively, stopping or reversing an approach, avoiding an area, separating from other players, repositioning, or otherwise doing something that makes the sequence interesting to watch and discuss.

For each sequence identified, please record:

- YouTube URL, video title and channel
- Start and end timestamp
- Approximate duration of the sequence
- Map and game mode, if identifiable
- What was happening immediately before the sequence
- What appears to trigger the player's change in activity
- A factual, step-by-step description of what the player does
- What happens as a result
- Whether the player survives/is eliminated/the outcome is unclear
- Whether the in-game map is displayed immediately before, during or after the sequence
- Any other features that make the sequence interesting or unusual
- A simple 1–5 rating for how interesting the sequence would be to analyse or discuss in a YouTube video

We are not primarily looking for kill compilations, spectacular shots or generic firefights. The interesting part is the player's decision-making and how a situation develops.

For example, rather than logging:

“Player gets three kills.”

We are looking for observations more like:

“Player is moving with teammates towards a built-up area. After encountering opposition, the player stops advancing, moves back around the building, takes a different route through vegetation and approaches the area again from another direction. The player survives and rejoins the engagement.”

Descriptions should focus on what can actually be seen in the video. Avoid guessing what the player was thinking unless they explicitly explain it in commentary.

For the initial paid trial, we expect you to identify and review a suitable number of publicly available Squad gameplay videos on YouTube and, from these, identify and log 5–10 strong sequences against the criteria below. We will review the initial output to confirm suitability for ongoing work, with substantially larger follow-on taskings available for successful researchers.

When applying, please start your proposal with the name of a Squad map you are familiar with and briefly explain (maximum two sentences) how you would go about finding suitable gameplay sequences for this task. Generic or AI-generated proposals will not be considered.
