The task is to build a Java-based web application using the Spring framework and a MySQL back-end. The core goal is a clean, production-ready codebase that follows standard Spring conventions (Boot, MVC, Data JPA) and clean separation of concerns.
I will provide the functional requirements, database credentials, and any UI assets that exist; you bring the expertise to wire everything together, create the necessary REST endpoints, configure security, and map the domain model to MySQL. Unit tests and concise setup instructions in a README are part of the final hand-off so the project can be run locally with a single command (Maven or Gradle—your choice).
Source control will be on GitHub with frequent, well-documented commits. Once the application launches locally and all tests pass, the deliverables are considered complete and ready for deployment to our staging server.
