I’m building a new crypto exchange and my number-one focus is the trading engine. The platform will launch with spot trading only, so the matching engine, order book management, and execution logic must be rock-solid and low-latency from day one.

At launch the engine needs to handle Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP). Order types can stay basic—market, limit, stop-limit—yet the code should be architected so additional pairs and order types drop in cleanly later.

Key areas I want you to own
• Matching engine core: deterministic, audit-friendly fills, sub-millisecond matching preferred
• REST and WebSocket APIs: public market data plus private endpoints for order management and account balances
• Basic wallet hooks: just enough deposit/withdrawal stubs for BTC, ETH, XRP to run end-to-end tests (I’ll layer the full custodial service afterward)
• Admin and monitoring endpoints: health checks, metrics, simple throttling/rate-limit controls

Acceptance criteria
1. Engine compiles and runs in a Docker container with a single command.
2. End-to-end trade cycle for BTC, ETH, XRP passes integration tests provided in Postman collection.
3. Concurrency test (10k orders/sec) shows no data race or incorrect fill.
4. Swagger (or equivalent) docs generated automatically from the codebase.

I’m flexible on language—most of my existing stack is Go and PostgreSQL, but I’m open to Rust or C++ if you can justify the performance gains. Please outline your proposed tech stack, estimated timeline for an MVP, and any similar exchange or high-frequency trading work you’ve done.
