We are seeking an analytical, detail-driven Sports Data Analyst to build statistical breakdowns, head-to-head performance models, and win-probability reports for major international sports fixtures (Cricket / Football / Tennis).
This role focuses purely on quantitative analysis, historical trends, and situational data—not guesswork or speculative predictions. Your insights will be used to evaluate team form, pitch/court conditions, tactical matchups, and match dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Match Quantitative Reports: Build objective match preview sheets covering head-to-head records, recent form (last 5–10 games), venue history, and home/away performance splits.
Situational & Environmental Impact Analysis: Quantify the effect of external variables (e.g., toss/first-strike advantage, weather forecasts, pitch conditions, tournament pressure).
Key Player Matchups: Track metrics such as individual strike rates, bowling economies, expected goals (xG), injury status, and direct player-vs-player head-to-head data.
Probability Modeling: Provide probabilistic breakdowns (e.g., statistical likelihood of match outcomes, projected total points/runs/goals) using historical datasets.
Clear Data Presentation: Deliver findings in a clean, easy-to-read format (Google Sheets, concise PDF summaries, or short data dashboards).
Candidate Requirements
Proven track record in sports analytics, statistical modeling, or quantitative data analysis.
Proficiency with data tools such as Excel / Google Sheets, with bonus points for Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.
Deep tactical and statistical knowledge of international sports fixtures (Cricket, Football, or Tennis).
Strong analytical mindset focused on probabilities, sample sizes, and variances rather than emotional bias.
High reliability, fast turnaround time before scheduled match kick-offs/starts, and clear written English communication.
