Split 10GB E57 Into Building Files

I have a single 10 GB e57 laser-scan covering several neighboring buildings. I need the dataset broken down so that each building ends up in its own clean e57 file and matching RCP file.
When a structure sits very close to another—or their scans overlap—please keep the points for any nearby ground, driveways, hardscape, and landscape that fall within that building’s full property parcel. Shared surfaces should appear in every building’s file, not assigned exclusively to one model.
Typical tools for this task are Autodesk ReCap, CloudCompare, or similar point-cloud editors; you are free to use whichever workflow you prefer as long as the final exports open flawlessly in ReCap.
Deliverables
• Separate e57 files for each individual building, including its entire property footprint
• Corresponding RCP project for each e57, correctly indexed and ready for import
• A brief text log naming the files and listing any judgments you had to make while separating overlapping points
Acceptance
• No stray points from other buildings inside a given file
• All shared areas duplicated consistently across relevant buildings
• Files load without errors in Autodesk ReCap 2024
That’s the whole scope—once I confirm the split looks clean, the job is done.
