We need an experienced Spice Quality Inspector / Procurement Consultant in Kerala for occasional on-site assignments.
Initial work will mainly involve whole green cardamom and black pepper sourced from Idukki/Kumily/Vandanmedu and nearby areas.
The consultant should be able to:
Visit supplier warehouses or processing units
Inspect grade, size, colour, aroma, moisture, density/litre weight, foreign matter, breakage, infestation and packing
Draw representative samples from different bags in the lot
Compare the bulk lot with an approved sample/specification
Record bag count, weight, lot details and inspection photos/videos
Advise on laboratory testing required for export markets
Coordinate or guide testing with NABL-accredited laboratories
Attend packing/loading when required and confirm that the approved lot is being loaded
Provide a short written inspection report with Accept / Reject / Conditional Accept recommendation
We prefer someone with 3+ years of practical experience in spice export QA/QC, spice procurement, commodity inspection, spice processing or food-quality testing.
Experience with cardamom and black pepper is especially preferred.
This is freelance, assignment-based work and requires physical travel to supplier locations. It is not a remote-only assignment.
When responding, please mention your relevant experience, spices handled, current location, areas you can cover and expected fee per inspection/day.
