Who are you?
We are seeking a Solution Engineer to join the Ema team in India. This is a hybrid role, preferably based in Bangalore. As a Solution Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge GenAI challenges for Fortune 500 companies and build Proofs of Concept for customers. You will work with sales, product, and engineering teams to turn customer requirements into working solutions that run on the customer's own data and applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on and customer-facing, starts from the customer's problem rather than the product feature, and is comfortable with data structures, data engineering, APIs, and Python. Most importantly, you are excited to be part of a mission-oriented, fast-paced, high-growth startup that can create a lasting impact.
You will:
Analyse customer requirements and translate them into a clear solution approach
Deliver tailored demos that show how Ema's AI applications solve the customer's problem
Build new AI application Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and pilots for customers
Integrate with customers' data and applications, working with APIs and using Python for data transformation
Work with engineering and product to resolve technical blockers in live customer work
Work effectively with sales, product, and engineering teams
Document solution designs, integrations, and lessons learned so others can reuse them
Ideally, you'd have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
2–5 years of relevant work experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Implementation Engineer
Experience working with different data structures and data engineering
Experience analyzing customer requirements and providing demos
Ability to work with APIs and use Python to perform data transformation
Knowledge of AI technology and enterprise SaaS applications
Experience building PoCs or pilots that moved into production
Exposure to GenAI, LLM-based applications, or workflow automation tools
Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as CRM, HRIS, ITSM, or ERP platforms
Ability to explain technical choices clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
