I have a 400 mm × 200 mm steel plate with a 70° V-notch (9 mm root radius, 65 mm width) that must safely carry a 40 kN axial tensile load. Your task is to run a full SolidWorks Simulation study that:

• Optimises plate thickness so the maximum Von Mises stress stays below 40 MPa, corresponding to a factor of safety of 5.
• Runs a basic mesh-convergence comparison (at least three clearly different global element sizes) and summarises stress results versus processing time.
• Calculates the maximum allowable point load on the same geometry when the required factor of safety is 4.

Deliverables I expect:
1. Native SolidWorks part/assembly and study files plus any result files so I can re-run the cases.
2. A concise Word document report ready to drop into my final engineering write-up, containing:
– Geometry, material and boundary-condition description
– Thickness-optimisation procedure and outcome
– Mesh screenshots, element counts, runtime table and a short discussion of convergence behaviour
– Von Mises stress and deformation plots for the final design
– Point-load analysis setup, result tables and allowable load value
– Brief conclusions and any recommendations.
3. Exported images (PNG or JPG) of all key plots and graphs called out in the report.

Please keep the study linear elastic, use SolidWorks’ default steel material unless you note otherwise, and name all files logically so I can trace each scenario quickly.
