SolidWorks Engineer for Corten Stair Project

Description:

I’m fitting out a small cultural venue in Estrela, Lisbon. I need an English-speaking SolidWorks engineer to resolve fabrication drawings for a laser-cut, folded steel stair and balustrade. The first session must be on site in Lisbon to review the stair opening, interfaces and design intent with me (I’m a builder; trade-level discussion). After that, remote work is fine.

Scope

Straight flight, 13 risers at 191.5 mm, 250 mm going, 940 mm clear width, 2490 mm floor to floor
6 mm weathering steel (Corten), laser-cut, folded and gusseted
Lower flight is cast concrete (by others). The steel section connects to a top shear plate (5 × M12) and is pinned to a timber post structure at the top
Balustrade and handrails in folded Corten, to public-venue loading (EN 1991-1-1 Cat C) with no-climb infill
Concealed stainless fixings; architectural finish quality
Fabricator is in Spain. Drawings must match their press-brake bend data (provided)

Deliverables

Native SolidWorks parts and assembly
STEP files
Layered DXF flat patterns (cut / bend / etch)
PDF shop drawings with bend tables, weld symbols, BOM and cut list
One revision round after fabricator review

Requirements

Fluent English
Based in or near Lisbon for an on-site meeting
Proven SolidWorks sheet metal and weldments
At least 1 steel, architectural metalwork or stair project in your portfolio
Active recently (completed work in the last 12 months)
Bonus: Ordem dos Engenheiros / OET registration and EN 1993 / EN 1090 experience. Structural sign-off is a separate paid option; please quote for it if you can provide it.
