I am building a DeFi platform and need an experienced Solidity engineer who can take full ownership of the smart-contract layer—from architecture through post-deployment maintenance. Your mandate will be to design, implement, test, and continuously harden a suite of secure, gas-efficient contracts that interact seamlessly with the EVM.
What you will handle
• Contract design: translate product specs into upgrade-friendly, modular Solidity code, following the latest security best practices and DeFi patterns.
• Testing: create a comprehensive unit and integration test suite in Foundry or Hardhat, complete with coverage reporting and automated fuzzing.
• Deployment pipeline: set up scripts for multiple networks (testnet → mainnet), manage environment variables, and document each step so hand-offs are effortless.
• Security & optimisation: perform internal audits, integrate static-analysis tools, and implement gas-saving techniques without sacrificing clarity.
• Ongoing maintenance: address bug fixes, incorporate community feedback, and prepare the codebase for external audits.
Deliverables
1. Fully-commented Solidity contracts pushed to a Git repository.
2. Automated test suite with ≥90 % coverage.
3. Deployment and upgrade scripts (Foundry/Hardhat).
4. Technical documentation covering architecture, threat model, and upgrade procedure.
Acceptance criteria
– All tests pass in CI, with no critical issues flagged by Slither or MythX.
– Contracts compile on the latest stable Solidity version and deploy successfully on a public testnet.
– Gas usage is benchmarked and within agreed targets.
If you have a track record of shipping production DeFi code, are comfortable working independently, and communicate clearly about trade-offs, I’d love to review your past work and discuss the roadmap.
