The Software Engineer II Role.
We are seeking a mid-level Windows and .NET developer to build and maintain Microsoft Teams bot applications with real-time audio and video capabilities. The ideal candidate has strong C#/.NET experience, understands Windows application development, and has hands-on experience with low-latency media streaming and Kubernetes-based deployments.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Microsoft Teams bot applications and integrations.

Build real-time audio and video streaming features focused on low latency, reliability, and media quality.

Develop Windows-based services and applications using C# and .NET.

Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot containerized applications in Kubernetes.

Integrate with Microsoft APIs, SDKs, authentication systems, and cloud services.

Diagnose media issues involving codecs, synchronization, buffering, packet loss, and network conditions.

Create automated tests and participate in code reviews.

Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, traces, and media diagnostics.

Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into maintainable solutions.

Produce clear technical and operational documentation.

Who you are.

Approximately 3–5 years of professional software development experience.

Strong proficiency with C#, .NET, and asynchronous or concurrent programming.

Professional experience developing software for Windows.

Hands-on experience building or supporting real-time audio streaming systems.

Hands-on experience building or supporting real-time video streaming systems.

Production experience deploying and operating containerized applications with Kubernetes.

Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads, networking, configuration, resource usage, scaling, and application failures.

Understanding of real-time media concepts such as codecs, frame and sample formats, buffering, latency, synchronization, and network transport.

Experience integrating with REST APIs, SDKs, and event-driven systems.

Familiarity with multithreading, memory management, performance profiling, and debugging.

Experience with Git, automated testing, and modern CI/CD practices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience developing Microsoft Teams apps, bots, calling solutions, or meeting integrations.

Familiarity with Microsoft Graph, Azure Bot Service, Teams SDKs, or related Microsoft communications APIs.

Familiarity with COM and COM interoperability from .NET.

Experience with WebRTC, RTP/RTCP, SRTP, SIP, FFmpeg, GStreamer, or Media Foundation.

Experience with Azure services, Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, and application permissions.

Knowledge of Windows audio/video APIs, device capture, or virtual media devices.

Experience with Helm, Kubernetes operators, ingress controllers, and observability platforms.

Experience operating real-time communications software in production.

Within 6 months, you’ll…

Contribute production-ready features to the Teams bot application.

Independently diagnose and resolve common audio/video streaming problems.

Deploy and troubleshoot the application in Kubernetes environments.

Improve the reliability, test coverage, scalability, and observability of the media pipeline.
