The goal is to wire every layer of a new pair of smart glasses—from the on-board sensors right through to an Android companion app—so that the device behaves like a polished, consumer-ready product.
Hardware & low-level work
• Pair, stream and reconnect reliably over Bluetooth Low Energy while also supporting high-bandwidth features across Wi-Fi sockets.
• Drive the critical modules selected for this build: the camera, IMU sensors, plus the speakers and microphones.
• Optimise power draw, heat and battery life; handle sleep / wake cycles intelligently.
Middleware
• Integrate the OEM SDK, which exposes Android libraries first, and bridge any native C/C++ portions that sit beneath those Kotlin/Java calls.
• Build or adapt media pipelines for real-time audio/video capture, encoding and playback.
Mobile application
• Deliver an Android app that discovers the glasses, pairs in a single step, shows live video previews, captures sensor telemetry and plays audio.
• Expose in-app triggers for OTA firmware updates and diagnostic logs.
Acceptance criteria
1. Glasses pair automatically after first connection and recover within five seconds of a lost link.
2. 720p video and 16-bit audio stream to the app with
