Small Business Bookkeeping, Payroll, BAS

I run a very small Australian business with fewer than five staff and I need an experienced Xero bookkeeper who can handle everything from data entry right through to BAS lodgement.

Your responsibilities will cover:
• Accurate entry and reconciliation of all bank and credit-card transactions in Xero
• Full accounts payable and receivable management, including follow-ups and supplier payments
• Processing of our single monthly payroll with correct STP reporting
• Preparation and on-time lodgement of quarterly BAS (and IAS when required)
• Clear monthly financial reports so I always know cash position, profit & loss and outstanding invoices

Acceptance criteria
• Bank accounts reconciled to zero within five business days of month-end
• Payroll finalised and submitted via STP on payday
• BAS lodged by the ATO due date with supporting workpapers
• No unreconciled or suspense items older than 30 days

The Xero file is already set up; I just need a reliable professional who will keep it tidy, answer the occasional finance question and suggest improvements when you spot them.
