Experienced Wedding Video Editor Needed — Traditional Wedding Film (20–30 Minutes)
Overview
I'm looking for a skilled and experienced video editor to craft a polished, emotionally engaging traditional wedding film from raw footage of a wedding event. The final film should run 20–30 minutes and capture the beauty, emotion, and cultural richness of the day. This is not a quick highlight reel — I want a well-paced, story-driven edit that does justice to the occasion, so attention to detail and a genuine sense of storytelling are essential.
The selected editor will be responsible for:
Reviewing and organising the raw footage, and selecting the best moments across the full event
Building a coherent narrative arc — from the pre-wedding preparations and rituals through the ceremony and celebrations
Colour correction and colour grading for a consistent, cinematic look
Clean audio editing — syncing sound, balancing levels, and removing unwanted noise
Adding suitable background music, transitions, and subtle effects that enhance (not overpower) the footage
Titles, names, and any lower-thirds or text overlays as needed
Delivering a final film that is smooth, well-timed, and ready to share
What I'm Looking For
Proven, hands-on experience editing traditional wedding videos specifically — this is a must, not a nice-to-have
A strong sense of pacing, emotion, and visual storytelling
Understanding of traditional wedding rituals and cultural moments, so the important sequences are given the weight they deserve
Reliability, clear communication, and the ability to work to an agreed timeline
Comfort taking creative direction while also bringing your own polish and ideas
Mandatory Requirements
Portfolio is compulsory. Please share links to previous wedding films you have personally edited — ideally full or near-full length traditional wedding edits, not just short highlight clips.
Demonstrable experience with professional editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
Applications without a relevant portfolio will not be considered.
Deliverables
One fully edited traditional wedding film, 20–30 minutes in length
Final output in [preferred resolution/format — e.g. 1080p / 4K, MP4]
[Number] rounds of revisions included to refine the final cut
