We are Sutton Bike Works, a small independent bike shop at 4 South Main Street, Millbury, Massachusetts. We sell new, pre-cycled and vintage bikes and run a full repair bench. Owner is on the tools. We need one working web page so people can send a repair request without calling during a busy Saturday.
This job is one WordPress page only. Not a full website. Not a logo. Not product copy.
What we already have
Domain and WordPress hosting (we will give wp-admin after hire)
Shop name, address, phone, hours
Three repair packages with prices (tune-up / overhaul / e-bike check)
A few photos of the shop floor and a bike on the stand (we supply)
What to build
One mobile-first WordPress page with these blocks, top to bottom:
Header: shop name + “Bike repair in downtown Millbury”
Short intro — 2 or 3 sentences max. We will paste the final wording.
Three service cards:
Basic Tune-Up
Full Overhaul
E-bike Safety Check
Prices and bullet points supplied by us. Do not invent prices.
“How drop-off works” — 3 steps (bring the bike / we text a time / pick up when ready)
Repair request form:
Name
Phone or email
Bike type (dropdown: road / mountain / hybrid / e-bike / kids / vintage)
What is wrong (short text)
Preferred drop-off day
Footer: address, phone 508-635-7409, hours, map embed (Google Map link we send)
Technical notes
Use a lightweight free theme (GeneratePress, Kadence, or similar). No page-builder bloat if you can avoid it. Elementor is acceptable if the page stays fast.
Form must email the shop and show a thank-you message. No paid form plugin unless it has a free tier that covers this.
Page must be readable on a phone. Big tap targets.
No popup, no slider, no stock “happy cyclist” hero.
Do not install random SEO or security plugins. Ask first.
Leave the page as a draft or a simple slug like /repair until we say it is live.
Please do not
redesign the whole existing site
create a logo or brand kit
write long marketing copy
add online payment or a bike catalog
use images you found on the internet
Deliverables
Live WordPress page on our hosting
Form tested and sending to our email
1-page note: theme used, plugins added, where to edit text
2 revision rounds (layout and form fields only)
If this page works, later jobs with us would be a used-bike listings page and a simple booking calendar for workshop time. Not part of this job.
