Simple Budgeting Excel Template

I need a clean, easy-to-use Excel template focused solely on budgeting. The file will handle fewer than ten key inputs—think beginning balance, monthly revenue streams, and a handful of cost categories—so clarity and intuitive layout matter more than complex formulas.

The workbook should automatically summarize allocations vs. actuals, flag any variances, and present the results in a single dashboard sheet with basic charts. While forecasting and expense-tracking aren’t required right now, I’d like the structure to be flexible enough for me to add those modules later without rebuilding everything from scratch.

Please build it natively in Microsoft Excel, avoiding external add-ins, and keep all formulas visible and well-commented so I can tweak thresholds on my own.
