I run a series of bite-sized, knowledge-packed channels and I’m ready to hand the editing baton to someone who can turn raw clips into polished vertical videos that hold attention from the first second to the last. Every piece you touch will end up on Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, so snappy pacing and a native feel for each platform are essential.

It’s crucial you create distinct visual editing identities, unique to each page we work on

The tone I’m after is informative and educational—a clean, authoritative voice that still feels lively. Think quick jump cuts, clear on-screen text, subtle sound effects when they genuinely add value, and captions baked in for silent viewers. You won’t need to chase the latest meme trend, but you should know how to weave in platform-friendly hooks and dynamic motion graphics without overpowering the teaching point.

Typical workflow
• I send you talking-head footage (1–3 minutes) plus any reference links or brand assets.
• You trim out dead air, rearrange for story flow, overlay captions and key callouts, add light background music, then export a crisp 1080×1920 file under 60 seconds.
• We do one round of revisions if needed, then you deliver final MP4s along with project files (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve—use whichever you prefer).

Acceptance criteria
• Engaging hook within the first 3 seconds.
• Accurate, typo-free hard-coded captions.
• Color, fonts, and logo aligned with my brand kit.
• Final length under platform limits; aspect ratio 9:16.

If you have a portfolio of educational or explainer shorts you’re proud of, I’d love to see it. Let’s create scroll-stopping content together.
