Role: Freelance Video Editor
Location: India Only/ Remote
About the Role
We are looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor who can transform raw footage/assets into engaging, high-quality short-form videos. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, sound design and social-media-friendly editing.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Edit Microdrama videos with strong storytelling, pacing and emotional impact.
- Create engaging Cartoon/Animated edits according to the given requirements.
- Follow provided scripts, references, editing guidelines and creative briefs.
- Add suitable transitions, effects, sound effects, music and subtitles.
- Maintain consistency in visual style, pacing and overall quality.
- Deliver videos within the assigned deadline.
- Make revisions based on feedback when required.
- Ensure the final video is optimized for Instagram, YouTube Shorts and other short-form platforms.
- Work independently while maintaining regular communication with the creative team.
- Handle multiple projects depending on your editing capacity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in Video Editing, especially short-form content.
- Strong understanding of storytelling and visual composition.
- Good knowledge of transitions, effects, subtitles, sound design and pacing.
- Experience with software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut Google Vio, Claude or equivalent
- Ability to understand and execute a creative brief accurately.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Open to feedback and revisions. (Must)
- Microdrama / Reels / Shorts / Cartoon editing experience is a strong advantage.
- Freshers can also apply if they have strong editing skills and relevant samples.
Payment & Collaboration
₹700+ per approved video
Payment will be made on the 10th of every month for approved videos.
- The number of videos assigned will depend on the editor's capacity, quality and availability.
