I’m building the KnowliBot educational robotics kit and need a compact sheet-metal enclosure that delivers real structural support to the electronics and drive modules inside. I already have the internal stack-up modeled and will share the exact overall dimensions at project start, so the design must stay strictly within those limits while still being easy to manufacture on a laser-cut / press-brake line.

Here’s what I’m after: a fully detailed sheet-metal CAD package—flat patterns, folded 3-D assembly, and clear manufacturing drawings—optimised for small-batch production. The enclosure should include sensible bend radii, K-factors, PEM hardware callouts, and self-locating tabs or slots so end users can bolt everything together with basic tools. Weight and thermal management aren’t driving factors; stiffness, alignment accuracy, and hassle-free assembly are.

Deliverables
• Native CAD files (SolidWorks or Fusion 360) plus neutral STEP/IGES
• DXF flat layouts with bend tables ready for laser cutting
• Dimensioned drawings with hole tables, tolerances, and hardware specs
• Simple exploded view or PDF guide showing the assembly order

Acceptance criteria
• All parts unfold without collision and respect the specified sheet gauge (initially 1.2 mm, adjustable later)
• STEP files import cleanly into Onshape with no errors
• Finished enclosure fits the provided dimensional envelope on first prototype

If you’ve shipped sheet-metal products before, especially compact enclosures, I’d love to see a couple of reference images or drawings in your response.
