Setup Country Specific VPN Scraper

I already have a working Python script that gathers hotel data for an academic study, but all traffic must now exit through a legitimate VPN endpoint located in one specific country. I need clear, step-by-step guidance to get this running on my Linux server without interrupting the scraper’s flow.

Scope of work
• Recommend non commercial VPN provider (NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Surfshark, or another comparable option) that allows API or CLI control.
• Supply installation commands and configuration files (OpenVPN or WireGuard) that lock the connection to the required country.
• Show how to automate reconnection on reboot or network drop, confirming the IP still resolves to that country.
• Demonstrate, with a short Python snippet, how to trigger the scraper only after the VPN tunnel is active.
• Provide a quick test checklist so I can verify geolocation, DNS leak status, and stable throughput before launch.

Deliverable
