Set-up Lab for Vulnerability Scanning Training- using nessus scan

Hi, could you help me set up a practical lab for learning vulnerability scanning?

I’m currently using a **Windows 11 computer**. I’ll need help installing and configuring a VPN so I can connect to a lab on your side. Ideally, you could host **Windows and Linux virtual machines** that I can access through the VPN.

The following is an example scenario; we can adjust the IP addresses to suit your lab:

- Server network: **10.0.4.0/26**
- VPN network: **10.4.12.0/24**
- Servers to assess: **10.0.4.35, 10.0.4.44 and 10.0.4.56**

For the Windows machines, the example uses a local **testing_admin** account, with no domain membership and Remote Desktop enabled. For Linux, it uses **testing_admin** with sudo privileges and SSH enabled. We can agree the passwords separately.

Please include controlled examples of vulnerabilities and default credentials in the lab. I’d like you to walk me through running credentialed scans, checking that authentication is successful, and interpreting the results.

I also need to see **actual scanner output for both Windows and Linux**, showing the affected host, vulnerabilities, severity and default-credential findings. Please explain how to confirm those findings and address them.

Testing should stay within the agreed lab machines.
