Server for French Dinner Party

I’m hosting a private, four-course French dinner for 8–10 guests and want the evening to feel seamless from the first canapé to the last glass collected. You’ll greet guests with passed appetizers, plate and present each of the four courses at the table, keep wine and water topped up, and quietly clear plates and glassware between courses and at the end of the meal.

The menu is already planned, there are no dietary restrictions to navigate, and all serving pieces, platters, and utensils will be on-site and ready for you—so you can focus purely on timing, presentation, and attentive service. Professional attire and a calm, polished manner are essential; knowledge of basic French dining etiquette is a plus.

Key moments I’ll look for:

• Clean, well-set plates arriving consistently hot
• Discreet clearing that doesn’t interrupt conversation
• Kitchen and dining area left tidy with dishes washed or loaded in the dishwasher
