I am seeking an experienced, hands-on SAP Business One professional to lead requirements analysis, functional design, data migration and integration validation. The candidate must translate business needs into clear specifications for the technical team and ensure the delivered solution works accurately across SAP and connected systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct business workshops and prepare requirements documents, process flows, fit-gap assessments and functional specifications.
- Define business rules, field mappings, validations, exceptions and acceptance criteria so the technical team can implement requirements clearly.
- Configure SAP Business One and identify where standard functionality, UDFs, UDTs, UDOs or custom enhancements are required.
- Lead data cleansing, source-to-target mapping, migration and reconciliation for customers, suppliers, items, warehouses, pricing and relevant transactional data.
- Define and validate integrations with Warehouse, PLM, middleware and other business applications, including error handling and recovery.
- Verify data accuracy, completeness and consistency across SAP and external systems.
- Review technical deliverables, lead integration testing and user acceptance testing, and validate inventory, commercial and financial outcomes with business owners.
- Own migration trials, cutover planning, user training, go-live support and implementation documentation.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-6 years of ERP implementation experience, including at least two full-cycle SAP Business One implementations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP Business One on Microsoft SQL Server, covering finance, sales, purchasing, inventory and warehouse processes.
- Proven ability to produce clear, implementation-ready functional specifications and coordinate effectively with developers.
- Strong experience in data profiling, cleansing, transformation, migration, validation and reconciliation.
- Hands-on knowledge of DTW, SQL queries, SAP table relationships and UDFs/UDTs/UDOs.
- Working understanding of DI API, Service Layer and middleware-based integrations, sufficient to define requirements, troubleshoot issues and validate solutions.
- Strong analytical skills, stakeholder management and written English, with ownership of quality from requirements through go-live.
Added Advantages
- Experience migrating IBM-based ERP or other legacy ERP systems to SAP Business One on SQL Server.
- Experience in retail, wholesale, distribution or multi-store environments.
- Experience integrating Warehouse, PLM, retail or e-commerce applications and working with .NET development teams.
