Senior Product Designer (Figma/Design Systems) - Portugal Full Remote
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Join a fast-growing, engineering-driven software company known for building high-performance digital products used by millions worldwide. You’ll play a key role in strengthening the design foundations of a large-scale consumer product. Your work will directly shape how multiple design teams build new features: faster, more consistently, and with less duplicated effort. This is a fully remote role for professionals based in Portugal. It suits a detail-obsessed designer who enjoys bringing order, structure, and precision to complex design ecosystems.
PROJECT & CONTEXT
You’ll create and maintain Figma templates that accurately mirror the live product across web and mobile app user journeys. You’ll analyse production journeys and recreate their screens, covering all states, interactions, and platform-specific nuances. You’ll audit production components against the design files, identifying gaps and discrepancies in structure, appearance, or behaviour, and document your findings clearly with visual references. Where needed, you’ll build local components and variants, ready for review and alignment with the Design System. The end result is a well-organised, easy-to-navigate template library, structured by journey and platform, that teams across the organisation can adopt and adapt with confidence.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Required)
Fluent English (spoken and written), minimum B2 level
Senior-level experience as a Product Designer or UI/UX Designer
Advanced mastery of Figma: Auto Layout, components, variants, component properties, variables, styles, and libraries
Hands-on experience working with Design Systems, with a clear understanding of components, variants, patterns, and tokens, and of when to reuse versus propose a new variant
Solid background in web and app interaction design, including responsive behaviour, platform conventions, and UI states (loading, error, empty, success, unavailable)
Exceptional attention to detail, with a sharp eye for discrepancies in layout, spacing, typography, colour, iconography, and behaviour
Strong analytical and documentation skills, communicating findings clearly to both designers and developers
Systematic, organised thinking to keep screens, journeys, and shared files consistent
Autonomy and clear communication: you manage your own workload, resolve ambiguities, and flag issues that need validation
Knowledge of digital accessibility, with the ability to identify issues and support future design decisions
Compensation: €1,800 – €2,500/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
Why HumanIT people stay (4.4 Glassdoor, 89% recommend)
15th month salary
Health insurance covering your family
Birthday off

Real work-life balance
Full benefits:
