Senior .NET Developer (Backend + Azure DevOps)
Location: Chandigarh / Mohali (Hybrid/Remote) | Type: Full-time | Experience: 6+ Years
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our core team and take ownership of a live, multi-portal web application. This isn't a spec-driven, cog-in-a-machine role. You will be stepping in to audit an existing ASP.NET Core codebase, stabilize the production environment, and lead the architecture for new enterprise features. If you enjoy the detective work of untangling unfamiliar code and the satisfaction of building scalable Azure infrastructure from scratch, this is for you.
What You'll Do
Codebase Rescue & Audit: Dive into an existing ASP.NET Core application to identify security gaps, structural flaws, and architectural risks. Write new apis and ensure its management too
Production Stabilization: Troubleshoot and fix defects on a live system serving real users.
End-to-End Delivery: Architect and develop new features across authentication (JWT/Identity), EF Core, and real-time workflows.
Azure Infrastructure: Own the cloud architecture—manage Resource Groups, App Services, Azure SQL, and Application Insights independently.
DevOps Mastery: Build, maintain, and secure CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) to ensure safe, zero-downtime deployments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Angular frontend team to debug cross-stack issues and ensure smooth API integrations.
The Must-Haves
6+ years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core in live production environments.
Deep understanding of EF Core internals: lazy loading, navigation properties, DbContext configurations, and LINQ-to-SQL translation limits.
Proven expertise with JWT authentication and ASP.NET Identity.
Strong SQL Server skills: indexing, query optimization, and debugging slow queries.
Hands-on Azure Cloud & DevOps experience—you must be comfortable configuring infrastructure and pipelines from scratch, not just pushing code to pre-configured environments.
A security-first mindset—instinctively spotting hardcoded credentials, unsafe auth patterns, and unguarded deployment steps.
Strong incident response skills and the ability to diagnose live issues under pressure without needing the problem pre-diagnosed.
Experience with real-time applications (WebSockets/SignalR).
Timeline: Immediate start required.
