POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Manager of Peer to Peer Fundraising is responsible for shaping and executing a bold, supporter-led, community-driven fundraising strategy for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. This role oversees the End Colon Cancer Coast to Coast and Alliance Athletes programs, aiming to grow a diverse and inclusive movement of fundraisers, volunteers, and local champions committed to ending colorectal cancer. Through grassroots engagement, campaign innovation, and cross-functional collaboration, the Senior Manager of Peer to Peer Fundraising will expand the Alliance’s DIY peer-to-peer fundraising reach, foster deep community relationships, and drive significant supporter-led revenue growth. This position also plays a critical role in mentoring staff, and ensuring a mission-aligned, volunteer-focused fundraising experience across the nation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute a national supporter-led fundraising strategy that drives participation, revenue growth, innovation, grassroots engagement, and alignment with organizational priorities.
Lead and grow the End Colon Cancer Coast to Coast and Alliance Athletes programs by empowering fundraisers, strengthening community engagement, and ensuring long-term scalability.
Expand DIY peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives by creating meaningful opportunities for patients, survivors, volunteers, corporations, donors, supporters, and the general public to engage and lead fundraising efforts.
Build, cultivate, and steward meaningful relationships with fundraisers, community allies, and local leaders to strengthen grassroots engagement nationwide.
Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies for endurance events while building partnerships with athletic event organizations to expand the Alliance Athletes program across the country.
Create, oversee, and continuously improve fundraising resources, including toolkits, onboarding materials, digital templates, and other tools/resources that support participant success across diverse audiences and campaigns.
Partner with Marketing and cross-functional teams to deliver consistent messaging, compelling calls-to-action, integrated campaigns, and engaging participant communications.
Manage and mentor the Peer to Peer Fundraising team by setting goals, providing coaching and feedback, fostering professional growth, and ensuring accountability.
Collaborate across departments to enhance program materials, align resources, integrate campaigns, and support organizational fundraising objectives.
Champion community perspectives by incorporating constituent feedback, field insights, and participant experiences into program planning and organizational strategy.
Monitor, analyze, and report on fundraising performance, participant engagement, grassroots reach, and key metrics to optimize program effectiveness and demonstrate impact.
Ensure accurate and effective use of Salesforce and fundraising platforms to maintain data integrity, improve donor stewardship, and enhance the participant experience.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven culture by sharing best practices, mentoring colleagues, and advancing national personal fundraising strategies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in fundraising or fundraising event coordination.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
Experience working in a digital fundraising platform preferred
Proficiency in current peer-to-peer campaign tactics and strategies
Expertise in consultative sales preferred
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, and follow through on plans in a timely manner.
SALARY RANGE:
Competitive non-profit salary, typically ranging from $75,000-$85,000, based on experience and qualifications.
