Senior Integration Developer (Apache Camel) for Australian Company

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Integration Developer on Contractual basis (6-12 months) for an Australian company to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of enterprise integration solutions.

Note: We are not looking for full stack developers. We need candidates with strong, hands-on Integration Developer experience in Apache Camel, Groovy/Java, Spring Boot, JUnit 5, and Azure Integration Patterns with strong focus on building scalable, secure, and maintainable integration services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement integration solutions using Apache Camel and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain microservices and APIs using Groovy/Java.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Azure Container Apps and Azure Container Registry.
• Write robust unit and integration tests using Junit 5 to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Deploy, manage and running applications using Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues and working with technical teams/business to resolve issues and enable new features in applications maintain documentation.
• Stay updated on integration best practices.
• Optimize performance and scalability of integration services.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards in all integration solutions.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers.

Required Skills & Experience:
Must-Have:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in integration development.
• Strong proficiency in Apache Camel for routing and mediation rules.
• Strong understanding of Azure Patterns like Azure Service Bus, Key Vault, Application Gateway, APIM, Azure Artifacts, Azure Data Factory, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing and running applications in Azure, especially using Azure Container Apps and Container Registry.
• Java Microservice development experience for cloud native architecture API Gateway, Docker.
• Solid development knowledge of Java in enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of Spring Boot framework and microservices architecture.
• Experience with JUnit and test-driven development practices.
• Should have good Database/SQL knowledge
• Hands-on experience with Groovy and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Good-to-Have:
• Experience with other integration platforms or ESBs.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development and Azure services.
• Certification in Azure or Java technologies is a plus.
• Experience using monitoring/logging tools like Dynatrace or Splunk
• Experience with Scrum and Agile frameworks
