Freelance Job Posting: Senior Frontend Developer (m/f/d) – Vue.js / React
Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced freelance Frontend Developer to build a web-based SaaS platform dashboard. The goal of this project is to create an intuitive interface that allows users to visually build, edit, and test XML Schematron rules, as well as manage, version, and share rule templates across teams.
Key Details
Start Date: Immediate / As agreed
Duration: 4–6 months (with option for extension)
Workload: 20–30 hours/week
Location: Fully Remote
Key Responsibilities
Dashboard & UI: Develop a modular, user-friendly dashboard for managing Schematron rules and template libraries.
Editor Integration: Integrate a web-based editor (e.g., Monaco Editor, CodeMirror, or a node-based visual builder) for creating and modifying complex XML/Schematron logic.
Template Management: Build workflows for saving, cloning, versioning, and sharing rule templates among user teams.
API Integration: Connect the frontend to REST/GraphQL APIs to support real-time XML validation against generated rule sets.
State Management: Implement robust client-side state handling for complex, deeply nested rule structures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Haves:
Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js 3 or React using TypeScript).
Solid understanding of XML, XPath, and ideally experience with Schematron schema validation.
Experience integrating web code editors (Monaco Editor/CodeMirror) or visual drag-and-drop rule builders.
Proficient with RESTful APIs or GraphQL integration.
Proven track record of building complex, data-heavy dashboards (using Tailwind CSS, Vuetify, or Material UI).
Nice-to-Have:
Familiarity with XSLT transformations.
Experience with automated testing tools (Jest, Vitest, Cypress).
Project Phases (Timeline)
Month 1: Architecture setup, UI/UX prototyping, core dashboard setup, and template library foundation.
Months 2–3: Core Schematron editor development (rule creation, syntax highlighting, and inline error reporting).
Month 4: Sharing features, permission controls, versioning, and real-time backend validation integration.
Months 5–6: End-to-end testing, performance optimization, UI polishing, and documentation handoff.
