About the Role
As a fractional Product Designer, you will work closely with the founding and engineering teams at an early-stage AI recruiting marketplace. You will shape candidate and hiring manager experiences, turning ambiguous product problems into intuitive, trustworthy flows and helping the team ship quickly.
What You'll Do

Own design across product interfaces, candidate experiences, company dashboards, and AI interactions.

Translate complex, multi-stakeholder needs into clear end-to-end user flows and interaction models.

Build and evolve the product design system from an early stage.

Conduct lightweight user research through interviews, session observation, and identifying points of friction.

Collaborate directly with founders and engineers to shape product direction and deliver shipped work.

What We're Looking For

At least 5 years of digital product design experience, including time as a primary or sole designer at a startup.

Deep fluency in Figma for product design and design system work, with a portfolio showing thoughtful, clear design and shipped products.

Experience designing end-to-end flows for products serving multiple user groups.

Experience building or evolving design systems from scratch or at an early stage.

Comfort working autonomously, communicating asynchronously, and conducting lightweight user research with distributed teams.

Recruiting, HR tech, talent marketplace, AI product, conversational interface, or multi-sided platform experience is valuable.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation range: $100,000 to $120,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Remote worldwide. This is a flexible fractional freelance engagement.
