Position Overview:
We are seeking a senior financial accountant to join MW Fasteners finance team. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, preparing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Support month-end activities:
Prepare company-wide entries – payroll, depreciation, leases
Reconcile inter-company and selected banking activity
Prepare reserve (E&O, bad debt) calculation
Owner of credit card program and P&L entries
Prepare pre-paid software & insurance expenses
Review accounting transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification
ERP to consolidation software reconciliation
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules
Responsible for managing MW Fasteners Admin cost center $12m spend
Coordinate quarterly balance sheet reviews; administrator of blackline
Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Assist with tax, statutory, and compliance reporting requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA, CMA, MBA, preferred, but not required).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or 5-8 years of industry experience, preferably within manufacturing/industrial space
Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience with inventory accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
Experience in managing audits within public company environment
Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Visual, Epicor) and consolidation software (Hyperion, Adaptive)
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
