Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations, this executive leader will be responsible for advancing environmental stewardship, regulatory excellence, operational safety, risk management, and organizational capability across multiple facilities and field operations.

The Opportunity
As Senior Director, EHS, you will lead the strategic direction and execution of all environmental, health, safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management activities across Transco Rail Services.
You will partner closely with Operations, Human Resources, Engineering, Legal, Risk Management, and executive leadership to ensure the organization operates safely, responsibly, and in compliance with all applicable regulations while supporting continued business growth.
Key Areas of Leadership
Environmental Excellence
Lead enterprise-wide environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives
Oversee air permitting, emissions management, waste programs, water compliance, and environmental reporting
Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local environmental regulations
Drive proactive environmental risk identification and mitigation
Lead environmental audits, assessments, and corrective action programs
Safety & Operational Performance
Develop and execute company-wide EHS strategies and management systems
Advance a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational discipline
Drive continuous improvement through data, metrics, and leading indicators
Lead significant incident investigations and corrective action processes
Ensure consistent safety standards across all operations
Strategic Risk Management
Partner with senior leadership to identify and mitigate enterprise risk
Oversee regulatory compliance programs and governance processes
Support Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability risk mitigation efforts
Monitor regulatory developments and implement proactive business responses
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead and develop a team of EHS professionals and leaders
Build organizational capability through succession planning and talent development
Create alignment and accountability across multiple locations and operational environments
Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and operational excellence
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a respected EHS leader who brings both strategic vision and operational credibility.
You possess:
Deep expertise in environmental compliance, including air permitting
A successful track record leading EHS functions across complex, multi-site operations
Experience influencing senior leadership and driving enterprise-wide change
Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, industrial hygiene, and risk management practices
Exceptional communication, executive presence, and leadership capabilities
The ability to translate compliance requirements into practical business solutions
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field
10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience
Significant experience supporting multi-site industrial, manufacturing, transportation, rail, energy, or field service operations
Demonstrated success improving EHS performance while reducing organizational risk
Experience leading teams, developing leaders, and driving organizational change
Preferred
Master's degree
CSP, CIH, CHMM, or related professional certification
Experience with operations across both the United States and Canada
Experience supporting highly regulated industrial environments
