ABOUT THE ROLE

At Cencora, we are passionate about helping our clients anticipate reimbursement challenges and creating targeted health policy solutions that maximize patient access at every stage of the product life cycle.

As Senior Director, Health Policy, you will play an integral role in developing, delivering, and selling data-driven solutions as part of our evolving Reimbursement Policy Analytics offering. This is a high-impact leadership role spanning three key pillars:

Thought Leadership — Be the recognized voice on health policy, reimbursement strategy, and regulatory trends shaping life sciences.

Business Development — Identify and drive new revenue opportunities. Lead proposals, connect client needs, and grow our practice.

Strategic Execution — Oversee project delivery, build analysis frameworks, and craft narratives that influence decision-makers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead health policy thought leadership across Medicare/Medicaid, the Inflation Reduction Act, federal budget scoring models, and alternative payment models

Drive business development as the go-to subject matter expert — identify opportunities and lead RFP execution end-to-end

Design data-driven solutions using Medicare claims, Part D, commercial claims, MEPS, and MCBS datasets

Translate complex analytical findings into compelling, story-based narratives that inform product launch strategies and influence policy decision-makers

Provide strategic oversight of project execution — managing timelines, resources, scope, and quality

Collaborate with patient advocacy and industry groups to strengthen partnerships and market insights

Coach and develop team members, fostering excellence, integrity, and continuous quality improvement

Create innovative service offerings and identify new revenue streams to expand our health policy practice

Lead proposal writing and allocate human and financial resources to ensure objectives are accomplished within project scope

Identify areas of risk and ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all deliverables

WHAT YOU BRING

Advanced knowledge in life sciences healthcare policy with recognized standing in the professional field through original contribution

Deep expertise in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry — including coding, coverage, and reimbursement of products

Broad technical knowledge of reimbursement strategies and/or health policy with strong economic, financial, and quantitative problem-solving skills

Demonstrated success within a consulting environment or pharmaceutical industry with proven ability to deliver results on time and within budget

Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output

Strong business development acumen — ability to interact with and influence clients to drive new opportunities

Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate complex material clearly in presentations and discussions

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with keen attention to detail

Independent thinker who adapts easily to change, thinks outside the box, and displays flexibility and collaboration

Ability to develop sound, long-term client relationships and thrive in a dynamic, high-performance consulting environment
