We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our partner’s team and support the development and operation of a modern GCP-based data platform. You’ll work closely with DevOps, application, and data engineering teams to build scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain highly available and cost-efficient cloud data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
Work extensively with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
Develop and maintain Terraform configurations for GCP data services, networking, and deployments.
Manage networking and deployment configurations for GCP data platform components.
Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines for data services, focusing on quality, security, and efficiency.
Establish monitoring and observability across data pipelines and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot complex data infrastructure and production issues and proactively identify potential risks.
Implement cloud security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and threat modeling.
Collaborate with application and data engineering teams to establish and improve operational standards.
Support ongoing GCP migration initiatives by designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role with significant hands-on GCP experience.
Strong commercial experience building and operating data infrastructure on GCP.
Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
Advanced experience with Terraform, including infrastructure for GCP data services, networking, and deployments.
Strong understanding of GCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, and private connectivity.
Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale GCP solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design robust and reliable technical solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
English: B2+ / Upper-Intermediate or higher.
Technical Skills
Cloud: GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage
IaC: Terraform, preferably with experience developing reusable modules
Kubernetes: Kubernetes / GKE, Docker
CI/CD: Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Networking: GCP VPC, subnets, firewall rules, private service connectivity, hybrid cloud
Scripting: Python, Bash
Programming: Java, Go, Node.js, or similar
Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar
Data & Orchestration: Composer/Airflow, Dataproc, dbt — nice to have
Security: IAM, CMEK, VPC Service Controls, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling
Observability: Monitoring and logging solutions for cloud infrastructure and data pipelines
Nice to Have
GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Professional Data Engineer.
Experience with GCP migration projects.
Experience working with modern data platforms and data engineering teams.
Knowledge of dbt, Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer, or Dataproc.
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
Understanding of cloud security and compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS.
