Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software
Sequence tasks and allocate resources, identifying dependencies, durations, and critical path elements to create realistic timelines
Monitor progress against the schedule, updating it based on field data, change orders, or unforeseen delays
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather schedule inputs and ensure alignment with project objectives
Identify and manage risks, including potential delays, resource shortages, or weather impacts, and develop contingency plans
Generate and distribute schedule reports to internal and external stakeholders, including progress updates, variance analysis, and mitigation strategies
Support claims analysis and recovery planning when delays occur, ensuring compliance with contractual scheduling requirements
Collaborate with procurement and staffing teams to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and labor.
Qualifications
Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.)
Understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of construction workflows, permitting, and inspection timelines.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Time management and ability to prioritize shifting deadlines.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; associate’s degree with relevant experience may be considered
Preferred certifications: Primavera P6 Certification, Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) by AACE International.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to travel for various assignments.
