The Opportunity
If you've worked with metal injection molded or powder metal components, this role puts that design experience in front of customers and new programs, not just existing parts.
You would join the Advanced Technology Engineering Team at a manufacturer that is investing in both people and equipment to expand its metal injection molding business. Your work centers on new products, applications, and markets: reviewing customer components, recommending design changes so they can be made with MIM, and leading the technical conversation from quote through launch.
Base pay runs $100,000-$130,000 with a 10% bonus, and relocation is paid.
Why This Opportunity Is Worth a Look
Growth in the MIM business. The company is investing in people and equipment to expand its metal injection molding capability.
Front-end influence. You help shape new products, applications, and markets rather than sustaining existing ones.
Technical ownership across the launch. You lead APQP through Gate 1, participate through Gate 5, and lead manufacturing and delivery of engineering and prototype samples.
Customer-facing technical role. You lead engineering discussions with customers and represent their needs to internal teams.
Compensation and relocation. $100,000-$130,000 base, 10% bonus, and paid relocation for candidates from anywhere in the country.
What Your Week Looks Like
Build engineering quotations for new products, including raw material requirements, operation steps and rates, outside operations, tooling, fixtures, gauging, and capital requirements
Recommend design changes to customer components so they can be manufactured with MIM, including marked prints and modifications to CAD solid model files
Lead the manufacture and delivery of engineering and prototype samples
Lead technical and engineering discussions with customers, and represent the customer's needs with internal teams
Lead the APQP team through Gate 1 and participate through Gate 5
Support the Commercial Sales Team on revenue growth and the Product Launch Team on production approval and introducing new products into manufacturing
What We're Looking For
Design experience with metal injection molded or powder metal components, in any application
CAD design skills, including working with solid model files
Customer-facing technical experience
Familiarity with APQP
Background as an Applications, Product, R&D, Design, or Project Engineer. Titles vary, and the experience matters more than the label.
Ready to Explore?
If this matches your background and you'd like a confidential conversation about the details, apply.
Great Bay Staffing represents candidates with complete confidentiality. Your resume will never be shared with a client without your knowledge and approval.
