I need a senior accountant or CPA who can step directly into an advisory role for one of our firm’s service based clients. This is not a basic bookkeeping position. I need someone who can quickly understand a complex account, identify issues, and provide practical recommendations.

The three main areas where I need support are weekly job costing, cash flow management, and S Corp tax strategy.

You will also be responsible for completing the weekly QBO bank feed categorization and helping keep the bookkeeping current and accurate. This client has a more complex setup, so being a quick learner and being comfortable working through unfamiliar activity is very important.

Job costing needs to be completed weekly and should provide accurate project level profitability, better budget visibility, and useful management reporting. The current process is in place, but I need someone who can take ownership of it, improve the workflow where needed, and recommend a better platform or system if there is a stronger option available. Client is currently utilizing Hubdoc for document retention.

The cash flow model already exists, but it needs to be reviewed, corrected, and maintained. I need someone who can keep the forecast reliable, identify variances, and help improve visibility into payroll, vendor obligations, and upcoming cash needs. I am also open to moving the client into a stronger cash flow dashboard or forecasting platform if you have experience with tools you recommend.

The client also has several significant purchases and financial commitments currently under consideration, so we need to quickly understand the financial impact of those decisions before they are made. I need someone who can help determine when the client can responsibly move forward with those purchases, what cash reserves or savings targets should be in place first, and what an appropriate monthly burn rate looks like based on current revenue, payroll, operating expenses, and upcoming obligations. The goal is to give the client clear decision points around what they can afford, when they can afford it, and how much liquidity should be maintained to support growth without creating unnecessary cash flow pressure.

On the tax side, the client recently had a backdated S Corp election accepted by the IRS. I need experienced guidance around officer compensation, payroll setup, any related tax filings, and the next steps created by that election. I am looking for someone who can explain what should be done, when it should be done, and why.

I need someone who can start immediately and who has real experience with QBO, job costing, cash flow forecasting, S Corporations, payroll, and tax planning.
