ABOUT THE JOB
The Senior Accountant is a team player who is comfortable working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and desires to develop professionally as the team and the company grow. The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s close process, financial reporting, compliance and maintaining strong internal controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the month-end financial statement close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Own key areas of the close process, including month-end accruals, fixed assets, cash and other areas of accounting as assigned.
Assist with preparing schedules for and responding to requests of the external auditors.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to expedite close and strengthen internal controls.
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting plus 3-4 years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting. CPA or CPA eligible preferred. Experience with month-end close and financial reporting. Must possess a strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Proficiency with general ledger software (ideally NetSuite, Oracle)
Advanced Excel skills

Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage timelines and deliverables effectively

Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000/yr
