About Mass Culture
Mass Culture is a growth media agency. We help mission-driven scale-ups connect brand and performance so they grow faster, more profitably, and with purpose.
Overview
As a Senior Account Strategist, you are the strategic lead across a portfolio of client accounts. You bring clarity to complexity, alignment to chaos, and momentum to the work. You sit at the center of the pod, connecting media, creative, insights, and operations into a single, cohesive direction.
This is not a project management role. It is not a note-taking role. And it is not about maintaining the system.
You are here to guide the work, shape the narrative, and help clients understand how modern media actually works.
You will translate business goals into actionable strategies, lead planning and decision-making, and ensure everything we do ladders up to something coherent, intentional, and effective.
Just as importantly, you will help clients navigate a rapidly evolving media landscape where automation, AI, and platform shifts are constantly changing the rules. You do not just react to change. You help interpret it.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Leadership & Alignment
Own the day-to-day strategic direction for a set of Mass Culture client accounts
Translate business objectives into clear marketing strategies, roadmaps, and priorities
Lead planning sessions, both internal and external, defining what we are doing, why it matters, and how we will measure success
Ensure alignment across search, social, retail, creative, and analytics, connecting all inputs into a unified plan
Turn performance, audience, and market signals into sharp insights and clear next steps
Client Partnership & Strategic Communication
Lead strategic conversations with clients, setting the agenda, framing decisions, and driving clarity
Act as the primary translator between complexity and action, ensuring clients understand the why behind the work
Educate clients on how modern media works, building confidence rather than dependency
Bring structure and forward motion to every interaction, even in ambiguous or fast-moving situations
Emerging Media & Strategic Foresight
Stay on the leading edge of media, platforms, and technology, including AI, and translate what is changing into what matters
Identify opportunities to evolve how we plan, measure, and optimize in a shifting ecosystem
Separate signal from noise, helping teams and clients focus on what actually drives impact
Bring a forward-looking point of view into planning, not just reporting on the past but shaping what is next
Internal Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with channel leads across Search, Social, Retail, and Creative to unify inputs into a single strategic direction
Work closely with Insights and Analytics to elevate storytelling, measurement frameworks, and reporting clarity
Push the work forward, challenging teams when needed and ensuring output matches intent
Collaborate with Ops or PM to ensure plans are actionable, properly scoped, and executed efficiently
Account Health & Growth Thinking
Maintain a clear view of performance, risks, and opportunities across accounts
Act as a strategic constant across the full lifecycle, from onboarding through optimization and renewal
Contribute to forecasting and planning with a strong understanding of what drives growth and what does not
Steer accounts toward smarter, more effective ways of working, not just more activity
Who You Are:
Strategic by Default
You naturally think in terms of problems, not tasks. You bring structure, focus, and direction to everything you touch.
Educator at Heart
You do not just communicate. You teach. You make complex ideas simple, clear, and actionable, helping clients and teams truly understand what is going on.
Client-Confident
You can lead a room, frame decisions, and hold a point of view, whether you are talking to a CMO or a channel lead.
Cross-Functional Fluent
You know how to work across disciplines and personalities, aligning teams around a shared direction.
Media-Evolving
You understand how media works today and you are actively tracking where it is going. You are curious about AI, automation, and emerging platforms, and can translate that into real implications for brands.
Clear and Concise
You write tight decks, structure your thinking well, and communicate with purpose. No fluff. No ambiguity.
Operator Energy
You push things forward. You know how to create momentum without unnecessary noise, process, or meetings.
Experienced, Not Settled (6 to 15 Years)
You have been in strategy, media, or client leadership roles and are ready to take true ownership.
Mass Culture on Inclusion:
We hire great people from a wide breadth of backgrounds, not only because it’s the right thing to do, but also because it makes our work, our company and our communities stronger. Mass Culture is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, national origin or any other federal, state or local protected class.
