Self-Hosted Contractor Website Build

I’m ready to launch a modern, sleek web presence for my contracting business and need a complete build that I will own outright—no ongoing platform fees. The site must be created in one of two ways: either on a self-hosted WordPress install (Elementor or similar visual builder preferred) or as a fully hand-coded static HTML/CSS solution. Whichever route you take, the final product has to be simple for me to update, fully responsive on mobile, and tuned for local SEO.

Scope of work
• Design and develop four core pages—Home, Portfolio, Services, and Contact—following a consistent, polished aesthetic.
• Implement visual editing capability so I can swap text and images without touching code.
• Set up my independent domain and hosting account, configuring DNS, SSL, and basic security so I retain 100 % ownership and control.
• Deliver lightweight, standards-compliant code, compressed images, and clean URLs to help the site load fast and rank well.

Hand-over & acceptance
– Provide a one-time fixed quote that covers design, build, and initial deployment.
– Walk me through a brief screen-share or written guide showing how to edit content and perform basic maintenance.
– Supply all theme files or source code, graphics, and login credentials at project close.
