Secondary Logo for Woodworking Guild

I need a fresh secondary logo that will sit beside our main guild mark and spotlight the re-branded “First Mondays Speaker Series” and “Woodworking Master Class.” The tone has to feel rustic and handcrafted—think the warmth of real wood, not a polished tech vibe—while still reading clearly on event flyers, slides, and social posts.
The element I most want to convey is our connection to the material itself, so textures such as a tree ring, a subtle wood grain, or stylised branches should take centre stage. If you feel a tool belongs in the composition, please use your judgment; this programme is about learning and inspiration more than any single saw or chisel.
I already have a rough AI-generated concept, which I’ll supply as reference, but it lacks soul and balance. I’m looking for your creative eye to refine (or completely overhaul) it into something that feels artisanal yet professional.
The logo with the man in the middle is the official guild logo and this will not change. Feel free to use this as a reference (it was developed in the 1980s) - we need something which will be more timeless without gender identification.
Deliverables
• Final logo supplied in vector (AI, SVG) and high-res raster (PNG, JPG) formats
• One full-colour version and one single-colour version suitable for engraving or stamp applications
• A brief style note on the chosen colour palette and typefaces so we can keep future materials consistent
Please include a short outline of your approach and any relevant portfolio pieces that show your feel for rustic or nature-inspired branding. I’m ready to move quickly once I find the right designer.
