I am looking for an experienced and creative video editor to produce a professional, highly engaging YouTube video for a science and wellness channel.
The script and voiceover will be provided. Your job is to transform the script into a visually engaging video with strong pacing, professional editing, and effective storytelling.
Requirements:
• Use high-quality, copyright-free/licensed stock video footage relevant to the script and narration.
• Select visuals carefully to match the narration rather than using generic or repetitive stock footage.
• Use engaging text animations, kinetic typography, and on-screen graphics to highlight important scientific facts, numbers, and key statements.
• Add appropriate sound effects, transitions, and background music to enhance viewer engagement without overpowering the voiceover.
• Maintain a clean, modern, professional visual style suitable for a high-quality science/health YouTube channel.
• Use creative visual transitions and pacing to maintain viewer attention throughout the video.
• Important numbers, study findings, and scientific points should be visually emphasized.
• The editing should feel dynamic and engaging, but not overly flashy or distracting.
• All stock footage, music, sound effects, images, and other external assets must be copyright-free or properly licensed for commercial YouTube use.
• Avoid watermarked stock footage or assets.
• Ensure smooth synchronization between the voiceover, visuals, text animations, music, and sound effects.
• The final video should be optimized for YouTube in 16:9 Full HD or higher.
• The editor should have a good understanding of visual storytelling and know how to turn a science-based script into an interesting video rather than simply placing stock clips over the narration.

You do not necessarily need extensive professional experience. If you are a beginner or fresher with strong editing skills, creativity, a good sense of visual storytelling, and the ability to create engaging videos, I would be happy to consider your application. A portfolio, sample edit, or previous personal/project work would be helpful.
Preferred skills:
• Experience with YouTube video editing
• Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
• Motion graphics and text animation
• Good sense of pacing and storytelling
• Creative use of stock footage and sound design
• Experience with science, health, educational, documentary, or explainer-style videos is a plus
