Our shop on Long Island is gearing up for a scenic build running Thursday, Oct 12 through Sunday, Oct 15, and I need additional hands on the floor. You’ll be shaping both wood and acrylic elements straight from our designer’s drawings, then bringing them to life with clean paint finishes and crisp details.

The work is hands-on: cutting, routing, edge banding, fitting, gluing, and finessing every joint so the finished pieces install smoothly on show day. Creativity matters, I’m looking for carpenters who can spot a better way to solve a tricky angle or suggest an alternate fastening method when the design calls for it.

Essential skills (you’ll be using them every day):

• Edge banding
• Routing
• Painting
• Finish carpentry techniques for a presentation-ready look

If you have solid show-oriented shop experience, let me know what similar scenic or theatrical builds you’ve tackled and how many years you’ve been on the tools. I’m reviewing on demonstrated experience first, so a short note outlining the projects that best match this scope will go a long way.

Punctuality and reliability are a must. All major machinery, tools and materials are on site;

Looking forward to teaming up and turning these designs into a standout set.
